New Horizons of Minnesota Forges Ahead with New Name

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Aug. 11, 2004 – Benchmark/New Horizons announced today that the company is changing its name from Benchmark/New Horizons Learning to New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Minnesota. This change comes after Benchmark and New Horizons merged earlier this year. The newly formed company is recognized as the leading training provider for IT professionals, developers and business professionals in Minnesota.

New Horizons of Minnesota emerges successfully from seven months building the organization to reflect the best of both original companies. The new company leverages a combined twenty-six years of experience as the foundation for understanding customers’ needs and delivering on promises.

When we joined forces earlier this year we were hesitant to lose the equity of both names, so we combined the two,” said John Myhre, co-owner of New Horizons of Minnesota. “However, the time has come to move forward with a new corporate identity.”

New Horizons of Minnesota will continue to deliver training through three learning modes: instructor-led, online instructor-led and online self-study. In addition, the solutions have grown to include: public classes, private/custom training, mentoring, individual and organizational assessments, test preparation, room rentals, and a training management system.

“We have worked diligently to ensure that New Horizons of Minnesota will continue with the philosophy of delivering exceptional customer service and top-end instruction,” said Phil Hinderaker, co-owner of New Horizons of Minnesota.  “I’m sure that as we grow, there will be additional changes in the organization, but there is no doubt that this primary philosophy will not.”

Although the official name is now New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Minnesota, please note that “New Horizons of Minnesota” will be commonly used and the new web site is http://www.nhmn.com/.
