In the changing world we live today there is one thing that is a constant and growing need – technology. As the world advances so do the needs, requirements, and functions of technology, along with how much we rely on it every day. Nothing has made this statement hit home quite like COVID-19 has. As schools continue efforts to keep all their faculty, students, and families safe throughout the last year, more and more technology needs must be met. This can be hard to do in such a large school district like District 196.
Here at New Horizons, we strive to continue to do everything we can to keep our students and clients learning the best they can, just like District 196. Part of striving to give our students the best learning environment we can includes upgrading our technology. One of these upgrades took place recently which ended with the best of both worlds for New Horizons Minnesota and School District 196.
New Horizons Minnesota upgraded some of our learning centers computer monitors and with this update we were left with more equipment than we had use for, that was still in perfectly good working condition. We wanted to be able to give back to our community that has been so great to us as we’ve conducting business for over 10 years. We wanted to be able to make an impact someplace in education as we are in technology education. We reached out to School District 196 to see if they were interested in our excess monitors.
This combined effort from New Horizons Minnesota and School District 196 ended in 107 HP 19” monitors being used throughout District 196 to help meet the needs that COVID-19 distance learning has brought upon the community.
We couldn’t be happier in the way this worked out for all parties – with the world constantly changing it’s great to be a part of the change and education efforts in the best way possible!
